The National hotel itself being a landmark and of the Art Deco era architecture, it only make sense that artists and expos are a permanent fixture on our grounds. Not only during Art Basel but all year round, many artists showcase their art in our lobby, restaurants and throughout the hotel.
Carole Feuerman
Carole Feuerman is an American hyper-realist sculptor, best known for her iconic sculptures of swimmers and diver figures. Carole’s sculptures have been exhibited extensively both indoors and outdoors in China, Europe and the United States, including three museum retrospectives. She is widely considered to be one of the founders of the Hyper-Realism movement and her works are part of several major museum collections, including China’s National Art Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Vatican Museum in Rome, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, DC.
