The National Hosts First Croissant Battle Miami

Croissant Battle Miami

Local Foodies Gathered for the Best Croissant Contest in South Florida

The National Hotel has hosted the first Croissant Battle Miami, a “best croissant” competition on Sunday, April 15th 2018. Created by French Morning, the event gathered South Florida’s top bakers and over 400 foodies. French Morning hosted America’s first “best croissant” contest in New York and due to its huge success, they brought the competition to Miami. Hundreds of pastry lovers and food enthusiasts met the chefs behind their favorite local bakeries and pastry shops. A culinary hub for international fare, Miami is the third U.S. destination for the “best croissant” contest after New York and San Francisco.

South Florida’s top bakers and pastry makers gathered to present their best croissants in front of a panel of judges and a special French celebrity guest. A winner has been chosen for the best croissant in this blind-tasting contest.

The competing finalists for “best croissant” in Miami include XXXX. The panel of judges is comprised of XXX and Matthew McDonald, Executive Chef of The National Hotel.

The 2018 Winner of The Best Croissant in Miami is:

L’Artisane Creative Bakery which opened its doors on Collins Avenue just a few months ago. Chef Carolina Molea offers classic French viennoiseries, muffins, quiches, tartes, cookies, and small gâteaux. Everything is made fresh daily and 100% vegan and cruelty-free, surprising even the pickiest eaters.

Congratulations to L’Artisane and we are looking forward to hosting the second edition of the Croissant Battle here at The National Hotel, next year. If you wish to receive our newsletter which highlights all future events at The National Hotel, please register at the bottom of our homepage.
